Former Phillies pitcher Tug McGraw died Monday. He was 59.
Additional story.
Non-sports fans may know him as the father of country singer, Tim McGraw. They did a commercial together a couple of years ago. But I can remember from my childhood watching him run off the mound pounding his fist after an inning. Those are some of my earliest childhood sports memories--that '80 Series. My Mom always liked him, too, for some reason. Sad.
"Ain't no glory in this living. Ain't no runnin' from your sins. I hope there's angels where I'm goin'. Ain't no angels where I've been..."
